Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has been on the lookout for a new club since terminating his previous deal with LDU Quito by mutual consent earlier this month.

Valencia’s agent has reached out to several big clubs in Brazil and has now reportedly started looking at clubs in North America.

According to ESPN journalist Diego Cora, Valencia has been offered to both Club América and Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami FC.

After spending 10 years and 339 career appearances at Manchester United, he left England to return to his home country last year. However, his return was cut short due to the economic effects of the coronavirus on LDU Quito.

Though Valencia is now about to turn 35 years old, he could be a fantastic short-term replacement for Renato Ibarra.
