The 26-year-old Swedish international midfielder joined former club Manchester City in summer 2021. Angeldahl had to be patient to make her mark in the Manchester City team but she gradually made a significant impact. The player made 69 appearances for The Cityzens in all competitions while Angeldahl was an FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup winner with the club.

Angeldahl is the second player from Manchester City’s 2023/2024 squad to move to Spain this summer. Goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck will also play finetwork Liga F football in 2024/2025 with the player having recently joined FC Barcelona.

Angeldahl joins a Real Madrid team that are continuing their quest to end FC Barcelona’s dominance of the Spanish domestic game. The Whites ended the 2023/2024 campaign in second place in the finetwork Liga F table, 15 points adrift of their title rivals. Real Madrid are still searching for their first major honour, four years on from their official launch.
