Benfica have re-signed midfielder Renato Sanches on an initial loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain.

Earlier today, the clubs completed a separate transfer to take Portuguese starlet João Neves to the French capital in a €70m deal.

And it has now been confirmed that another deal has taken place with a former Portuguese teen standout, Sanches, going in the other direction.

A former Golden Boy winner in 2016, the 26-year-old has returned to Benfica on loan, with an option to make the move permanent.

Sanches spent last season on loan at Roma, who opted not to sign him on a long-term basis.
