Eighteen-year-old forward Emily Murphy has moved to University of North Carolina after leaving Chelsea Women.

She progressed through the ranks at Chelsea, making her senior debut in a Conti Cup tie against Spurs back in November 2019.

Murphy’s appearances for Chelsea included the Vitality Women’s FA Cup tie against Charlton Athletic.

She joined Birmingham City on loan in January this year, playing 13 times and scoring three goals to help them stay in the top flight.

Formerly an England U-17 international, Murphy was also invited to a senior Republic of Ireland national team training camp in April 2021.
