Finally, after an exceptionally long international break we can start talking about and thinking about an actual football match again.

Chelsea fans still have to wait a little longer than everyone else – the Blues aren’t in action until Thursday night, but even that isn’t far off now. We will take on Tottenham in a game which looks to be very important in itself, as well as in setting us up for a final run of games to try and battle our way into the Champions League.

One big question for the game is going to be who plays up top. Nicolas Jackson has been slated to return from a 2 month injury in this match post-international break, and we look forward to finding out if he’s made it. If he has, Pedro Neto will likely move back from leading the line to play on the wing again.

Spurs have a similar player in Heung-Min Son, someone with electric speed who can lead the line or play out wide. While Son used to be among the best attackers in the league, his form has faded. It’s reached the point where Jadon Cundy, for example, went on “The Football’s On” to pick his combined XI, and went for Neto over Son:

“Well, if you want to go historically, it’s gonna be Son. If you want to go right now, Pedro Neto,” the former Chelsea player said.

Chelsea have the quality, now they need the result

Spurs certainly have some good players, but we have better options in most positions after more than a billion spent in the last couple of years, and there should be no excuses from our group as we look to earn a massive 3 points.

Who from the Spurs team would you take in a combined XI right now?
