Chelsea’s season has gone from inconsistent to very good since the new year and Thomas Tuchel arriving at the club.

There were plenty of signs of what this squad could be capable of over the last couple of seasons under Frank Lampard, but they have really pushed on and developed even more under Tuchel.

They now find themselves in an FA Cup and Champions League final this month, and third place in the Premier League.

Some players have really stepped up their levels under Tuchel, but there are two that have been doing it all season, according to former Chelsea left back Wayne Bridge.

Bridge has been very impressed with Tuchel since he took charge, but he praises Mason Mount and Thiago Silva for their performances and overall impact for Chelsea throughout this season, in his latest interview as reported by Football London.

Bridge said:

“Mason Mount stands out massively for me. Frank Lampard spoke very highly of him.

“He looks so comfortable on the ball and impresses me in every game he plays with the way he goes past players and is always looking for the ball and a bit of space. He’s always trying to create something and has always been the most consistent performer.

“I was absolutely shocked when Tuchel first came in and Mount didn’t play in one of the games. He’s proved a lot of doubters wrong.

“Thiago Silva has been massive for the players around him. He’s got so much experience and helps the defenders around him, like Rudiger and Christensen. He has been a great addition to the squad and well done to Lampard for getting him in.”

Silva has been colossal at the back for Chelsea and made a huge difference.
