HLN are reporting that Paris Brunner could be on his way back to the Belgian Pro League. The young forward spent last season on loan at Cercle Brugge from the sides parent club Monaco, and given Cercle’s struggles in front of goal, the Belgian side are keen to see the teenager return to the club. At the moment, the club are the only side in Belgium yet to score a league goal, with the season already up and running with three matchdays in the books.

Brunner showed glimpses of the talent he had during last seasons loan spell with Cercle Brugge. In 28 games for the side he scored six goals and it was clear that Brunner needed to work on his decision making. The imposing teenager has great feet and can do a lot with the ball, but it was his final decision that was a source of frustration. With a full season in Belgium under his belt already, Cercle will be hoping a return to the club will see the player develop further. The move also helps Monaco, as it was always unlikely that Brunner would return to be part of the first team. The French side signed the young forward from Bundesliga’s Borussia Dortmund back in 2024 but Brunner has not yet made a first team appearance for the club.

Brunner could join Burnley loanee Oluwaseun Adewumi, who recently joined Cercle on loan with a purhcase option.
