Former Arsenal goalkeeper, David Ospina, looks set to move to Saudi Arabia on a contract worth €3.5m-a-year after turning down offers to remain with Napoli.

David Ospina is out of contract with Napoli at the end of June and, despite being reportedly offered a new deal and linked with a host of top European clubs, it seems the former Arsenal man is heading to Saudi Arabia to take the cash in what will be his final big contract of his career.

Ospina turns 34 at the end of August and, while teams like Real Madrid and Villarreal were said to be interested, Corriere dello Sport write that the Colombian “discovered the difficulties of the modern market.”

Then, Al-Nassr stepped in to offer Ospina a two-year deal worth €7m over its duration.

The deal is not complete, at the time of writing, but Ospina is reportedly on his way to Saudi Arabia with an announcement likely to come after his deal with Napoli official concludes on 30 June, 2022.
