London City Lionesses have completed the signing of former Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Jade Bailey.

Bailey came through the Arsenal youth ranks before going on to feature for The Gunners’ senior team. She established herself as a regular for Arsenal in the 2014 and 2015 FAWSL 1 seasons. In 2016, Bailey joined Chelsea where she spent three years. The player also spent time on loan at Reading during her spell with the South West Londoners. In July 2019, Bailey then joined Liverpool and she went on to win the Barclays Women’s Championship title with The Reds in 2021/2022.

After signing for London City Lionesses, Bailey said “I’m very excited for the rest of the season. After being out for a while, I’m looking forward to contributing and helping the team win as many points as possible this campaign.

“Everyone has been very welcoming, it’s a good group of players and staff with a good set-up behind the scenes. I wanted to come into an environment where I could continue to grow, London City has serious aspirations which match my mentality.”

Bailey could go straight into the London City Lionesses squad for this afternoon’s Barclays Women’s Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers.
