Forgotten Rangers man – how is he now?

With us now deep into October, summer signing from Bournemouth Nnamdi Ofoborh has been more or less completely forgotten about.

The deep-lying midfielder was diagnosed with a viral heart condition during routine scanning once he’d signed, it having been missed during the medical, and it’s laid him out medium term as we go into our fourth month of his contract and still no sign.

He has never trained with the squad properly, only attending the initial pre-season sessions before the issue surfaced, and there is no prognosis that we’re aware of for him.

It’s a damn shame – Ofoborh is a promising talent, who is being robbed of his pivotal development years in football, aged 21, but he turns 22 next month and hasn’t kicked a ball in anger yet for the Famous.

We just don’t know the state of play with his health, his situation, and the whole thing is being kept in-house and quiet, rightly, by the club.

Will he play for Rangers this year?

We couldn’t say. We’d love to see him in the shirt showing what he can do, but the chances are slim.

All we can say is get well soon, you HAVEN’T been forgotten and we wish you the best.
