ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Only time will tell if the aforementioned news is true. We hope that Konate is a Liverpool player as of next season.

The youngster appears to be a solid centre-back. Despite the fact that Konate is only 21 years of age, he has already made 92 appearances for RB Leipzig’s first-team.

Konate is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.57 in the Bundesliga this season, which highlights that he is a capable player.

As Konate is young, he is not the finished article. Therefore, if Liverpool have signed Konate for £32 million, that is good business by the club.

As Konate is not the finished article as of yet, it would be fair to assume that his market value could increase over time.

Konate could learn a lot from training and playing alongside Virgil van Dijk. The Dutchman was the runner-up for the 2019 Ballon d’Or for a reason.
