Recent editions of the game are the closest to football management many of us will ever get.

From signing players to creating training plans, the game has become so in-depth.

It can also be incredibly addictive.

Many of you may well have spent days upon days playing Football Manager without leaving the house for some fresh air.

But what’s the furthest you’ve played?

A couple of seasons before you get bored? Perhaps you’ve completed a decade on the game?

But one Football Manager addict this week revealed that, on Football Manager 2013, he’s just completed 100 seasons on the game.

It’s taken Jonny Sharples ‘almost nine and a half years’ to reach the year 2132 and he’s revealed the results on Twitter.

He’s listed the title winners of the Premier League, Scottish Premiership, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 in the last 100 years. He’s also shared the Champions League and Europa League winners as well as the winners of the various World Cups and European Championships.

Incidentally, Jonny revealed that he managed Dynamo Dresden, Brighton & Hove Albion, Hearts and Celtic during the 100 years.

The results? Well, just take a look:

But perhaps the most incredible result was Sunderland sacking Pep Guardiola for Jay Spearing in 2033…

Okay, let’s break it down competition by competition.

Premier League

Where do we start?

Arsenal’s NINE consecutive league titles? Liverpool’s solitary title win in 100 years? West Brom becoming really, really good? Huddersfield winning the title in 2078?

Scottish Premiership

Can you tell that he managed Celtic? They won the SPL a total of 95 times in 100 years! Surely that got a bit boring… Hearts won it the other five times meaning Rangers were left empty-handed.

La Liga

If you thought Real Madrid and Barcelona would dominate, think again.

We have an era of dominance from Valencia early on, an era of dominance from Sevilla, Gimnastic winning three titles in a row before Real Betis become the best side in the country at the end of the 100 years.

Serie A

Juventus and Roma appear to take it in turns to rule Serie A, while Cagliari become really good towards the end of the century. Meanwhile, Serie B side Albino Leffe claim a handful of titles.

Bundesliga

Unsurprisingly, Bayern Munich take over the German league – winning the title 44 times in 46 seasons between 2039 and 2084. Wolfsburg do have a successful era towards the end of the century before Bayern return.

Ligue 1

It’s a similar story in France as Paris Saint-Germain reigns supreme. There is a spell for Marseille while Tours surprisingly collect a few titles themselves.

Champions League

Arsenal, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and even Tottenham add a Champions League trophy to their collection. The results are skewed by the incredible Celtic side who pick up 42 European Cups in 100 years.

Europa League

Now this really is a mixed bag. West Brom, Huddersfield, Hull, Cardiff, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday and Dundee are all surprise winners. But surely nothing beats Montrose’s triumph in 2077.

World Cup

England winning back-to-back World Cups in 2086 and 2090? Oh go on then…

European Championships

England actually win four consecutive international tournaments by claiming the 2084 and 2088 Euros!

FA Cup

Port Vale fans have to wait until 2102 until the greatest day in their club’s history.

League Cup

A lot of the usual suspects but QPR, Hull and Sunderland certainly enjoyed this competition.
