Milan are preparing for a Champions League game against Liverpool on Tuesday, and Paulo Fonseca is expected to start Alvaro Morata and Fikayo Tomori.

Both players started on the bench on Saturday night in a comfortable 4-0 win over Venezia at San Siro. Tomori spent the whole game on the bench, while Morata was introduced in the second half.

The Spaniard had just returned from an injury, while Tomori was probably rested for the Liverpool game.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the English centre-back will likely return to the starting XI in their opening 2024-25 Champions League game tomorrow, replacing Matteo Gabbia.

Tammy Abraham started his first Milan match on Saturday and scored from the spot against Venezia, but Morata is expected to start for the Rossoneri against Liverpool.

Davide Calabria has also returned from an injury and trained with the group on Monday morning, so he’ll fight for a starting spot with Emerson Royal.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders will likely be confirmed in the middle of the park alongside Youssouf Fofana, while Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao will get the nod on the flanks.
