AC Milan have been reliant on Christian Pulisic on many occasions in the past 18 months, and with some vital fixtures ahead, the Rossoneri need his return soon.
There have been concerns about Pulisic’s game time for quite some time, but until December, there were no real issues. Whilst the American was absent here and there, there were no major problems. However, this has changed given he has missed the past few games.
At the start of the month, the winger began suffering from a calf problem, but it seemed that he was in line to return for the game against Roma, with Paulo Fonseca confident about this. In his press conference today though, he announced that there is a new issue.
“I expected that we could have Pulisic. He is fine but these last two days he has an ankle problem, which is another one. He hasn’t trained with us. It is a problem that arose during the recovery process, he is not ready for tomorrow, not even for the bench. Not for the previous problem but this new one that has come up.
With the Supercoppa Italiana on the horizon, Fonseca will be hoping to have his star back in action soon. However, with him not in training, and it being a new issue, there could be some doubts, and it could leave the Rossoneri a little short.
