Artem Dovbyk took to social media to thank Girona and their supporters following last week’s transfer move to Roma.
The Ukrainian opted to leave the Spanish side after just one season to join the Giallorossi on a permanent deal worth €37 million. He was the top goalscorer in La Liga last term, netting 24 times to help Girona earn Champions League qualification for the first time in the club’s history.
“I want to thank the Girona for their trust in me and the fans for supporting the team during difficult times,” Dovbyk wrote on Instagram.
“The past year has been a fantastic adventure and I’m proud to have played a small part in this story. It’s a club with a huge heart.”
