Folarin Balogun joins the USMNT for the Gold Cup! | OneFootball

AS Monaco's American striker has been selected by Team USA to prepare for and then compete in the CONCACAF-organized competition, which will take place at home for the "Stars and Stripes" from June 15 to July 7.

A second national title for Balo’? After winning the Nations League in spring 2024 with the United States, Folarin Balogun will once again compete to lift a trophy with his national team. The Monaco number 9 has in fact been selected for Team USA, in order to prepare and compete in the 2025 Gold Cup, organized by CONCACAF in the US from June 15 to July 7.

A duel of Monégasques in preseason!

The AS Monaco striker is in fact on the list of 27 players announced by Mauricio Pochettino for the training camp preceding the competition. This includes two friendly matches against Turkey (Saturday, June 7) and a Switzerland with Denis Zakaria et Breel Embolo (Wednesday, June 11), to prepare for the group stage of this 2025 edition of the Gold Cup.

A Place in the Final is the goal

A group in which the Americans will face Trinidad and Tobago (Monday, June 16), Saudi Arabia (Friday, June 20), and Haiti (Monday, June 23), in the hope of reaching the quarterfinals. It’s an opportunity for Folarin to shine once again with his compatriots, having already made 17 appearances with the Stars and Stripes (5 goals). Daghe Balo’ ! 🇺🇸
