🤕 Fofana's year over after Chelsea confirm hamstring injury

Chelsea pulled off a convincing 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, but all the post-match discussion was about Wesley Fofana's fitness.

After pulling up with a muscle issue, the 23-year-old was taken off after about an hour of action.

And in bad news for the Blues, manager Enzo Maresca virtually confirmed Fofana's 2024 is over.

"Unfortunately, it’s bad news. It’s a hamstring problem," he said. These kind of things require at least three, four, five weeks.

"In the way he was playing, it’s a big loss for us. But we have more players and we’ll try to find solutions."

The news will be a big loss for Chelsea with Fofana featuring in 12 of their Premier League games so far this season.
