Phil Foden’s second-half introduction at Leyton Orient was his 300th appearance for Manchester City.
Still just 24, only 43 men have ever played for the Club more than our Stockport-born Academy graduate.
With 97 goals so far, he is averaging almost a goal every three games – an exceptionally prolific rate for a midfielder.
Having lifted 17 major honours since his debut for Pep Guardiola’s side in November 2017, he is already one of the most decorated players in our history.
That haul has comprised of an incredible six Premier League trophies, four League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields, a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.
183 of his appearances so far have come in the Premier League, with 58 – including his debut against Feyenoord - in the Champions League.
Recognised as a special talent early on, boyhood Blue Foden was part of City’s Academy for a decade as he progressed through the ranks.
His senior debut came as a 17-year-old in the 2017/18 campaign that saw us go on to make history as the first side in Premier League history to reach 100 points.
As Guardiola’s team continued to dominate England, Foden’s status grew and grew until he was one of the Catalan’s most trusted players.
His outstanding development eventually led to a sweep of individual awards in 2023/24, when he was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year, Premier League Player of the Season and Etihad Player of the Year.
His 27 goals across all competitions, including hat-tricks against Brentford and Aston Villa as well as a final day brace against West Ham, proved a real difference as Guardiola’s men claimed a historic fourth title in a row.
Already regarded by many as a City hero, it seems Foden still has a long career at the Etihad ahead of him.
Congratulations to Phil on this latest landmark in a brilliant career to date!
