Alessandro Florenzi believes Milan can advance in the Champions League, but won’t speak of the Scudetto after the 2-0 win over Salernitana.

After beating Genoa 3-0 away from home on Wednesday, Milan breezed past 20th-placed Salernitana at Stadio San Siro on Saturday afternoon, winning 2-0.

Coach Stefano Pioli rested some players, but Milan still controlled the game from the first minute to the last. Franck Kessié (5′) and Alexis Saelemaekers (18′) scored as Milan got the three points on the same Matchday Inter play Roma and Napoli play Atalanta.

“We have to make our own way and play with this determination,” Florenzi told DAZN at the end of the game. “We don’t need to give signals to the others, we only have to put pressure on ourselves. When we play under pressure we do better. We make our way without looking too far ahead.”

On the group and on Kjær: “We are all starters, we all give our best during the match and in training. We are very sorry for Kjær, it’s an important loss both in terms of the player and of the man. I talked to him yesterday before and after the surgery. He said it’s Day 1 for his return. I told him we are waiting for him.”

On the condition of the San Siro pitch: “Strong players play on all pitches and don’t complain about it…”

On the Scudetto: “I don’t want to talk about it, we must not set ourselves objectives that are too far away. We look at the next game, which is Liverpool. We will play to the best of our possibilities.”

On whether he believes Milan can qualify for the Round of 16 of the UCL: “Well… why shouldn’t we believe?”
