‘Florentino doesn’t know’ – Real Madrid director provides Kylian Mbappé update | OneFootball

A member of the boardroom setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid was today drawn on the long-rumoured arrival of Kylian Mbappé at the club.

The individual in question? Antonio López Farré.

Farré, for his part, was the lead speaker at the López Farré Sudden Death Symposium on Tuesday evening.

As much comes with the Spaniard, as well as boasting a spot on the board at the Santiago Bernabéu, also a world leader in the field of cardiology.

During his public appearance, Farré was drawn on a whole host of topics relating to ongoings behind the scenes at Real Madrid.

One which will no doubt pique particular attentions across the Blancos fanbase, though, came in the form of a question on the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé at the club.

It is of course world football’s worst-kept secret that Paris Saint-Germain star Mbappé has been locked in talks with the brass at Real for some time now.

As much comes with a view to a joining of forces upon the expiration of the attacker’s terms with PSG in the summer.

Farré, however, admitted that as far as he is aware, not even Florentino Pérez – with whom he maintains a close friendship – is yet aware of Mbappé’s intentions:

“At any moment, Mbappé, his mother and his father will decide what they want to decide, but it is a decision that corresponds to them. I believe that at this moment, only the player, his mother and his father know his future. Does Florentino know? No, I think he doesn’t know, and if he does know, he hasn’t told anyone.”
