“He completed the entire training session today so he will be available tomorrow.

“If the team is successful then that will mean Lewy is also successful. That’s just the way it is.

“We saw against Gladbach how the team supported him but he also assisted Kingsley [Coman]. It’s give and take and we all benefit when everyone is at 100%.”

On injuries

“Corentin Tolisso will be back in the squad tomorrow.

“Niklas Süle needs some rhythm and we’ll try to integrate him in the next few games. He was injured but he’ll get a chance.

“Leon Goretzka is targeting the Euros. We want him to be there because he’s an important player for the national team.

“Alexander Nübel will also start tomorrow.”

On his future

“I have two more games and they’re very important to me. I’ve had a great time and am so grateful to be with this team.

“We can still get 80 points so that’s the target. Lewy’s 40 goals is the second target and we’ll try to get them both.

“I’ve always said after that I’m under no pressure. Oliver [Bierhoff] already said the talks were good but I still have a job to do here.”
