Days after he admitted he could leave Bayern Munich, Hansi Flick was in front of the media again on Friday.
Here’s what he had to say ahead of the game against Wolfsburg …
“The players still aren’t ready. With Lewandowski, like you said, it won’t be enough for Wolfsburg, we will see how it develops ahead of Tuesday.
“For Leon, Saturday also comes too soon, so we can’t add any of the injured players back into the squad yet. We’ll see how it is with Serge Gnabry next week.
“Lucas Hernández had some pain but that was better yesterday, we’ll see this evening and in the morning how he is doing.
“The squad is a bit decimated. We need to see how we can solve it.”
“I’ve said how important this week is. I’ve spoken to Oliver Kahn about other things but not about that, there’s no time pressure.
“This week, everyone knows that, is so important.
“Our absolute focus is on the three games this week.”
“I just said, we spoke briefly and we spoke about how important this week is. We digested the game against PSG, being knocked out of the Champions League. And that’s it.”
“I don’t think we’re so concerned with our rivals. It’s better to concentrate on ourselves. We have a big task ahead of us and we want to win the league.”
“It’s their job. You feel it by every player that they’re ready to deliver, that’s why they play for Bayern Munich, that’s why they were signed.
“Every player is ready, right to the end, to give everything for this club.
“Ultimately that’s their duty, I’ve never thought otherwise with any of them. On the contrary, I’ve always been convinced every one of them will give everything right to the end.”
