According to a report from SPORT, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has made it clear to the club’s sporting department that Fermin Lopez and Eric Garcia are not going anywhere this summer.
Flick has told the club that he does not want to hear any offers for either player. He also wants Barcelona to renew Garcia’s contract as soon as possible to avoid complications later on.
Despite the financial troubles Barcelona are dealing with, which have led to several first-team players being considered for sale, Flick is standing firm on these two names.
Fermin, especially, has a strong market right now because of his impressive performances last season.
Eric’s situation is different. His contract runs until 2026, and Barça do not want players going into the final year of their contracts, as it could weaken their negotiating power or risk losing them for free.

The reality is that, if Flick has his way, neither Fermin nor Eric will leave Barça this summer. The German is very happy with how both players performed last season.
While they were not always starters, they stepped up whenever called upon. Eric, for instance, showed his versatility by playing not just as a centre-back, but also as a central midfielder and right-back during the final part of the season.
Meanwhile, Fermin proved his value by making 46 appearances across competitions, scoring eight goals and providing ten assists.
Because of how much Flick trusts them, he has insisted that the club ignore any offers for both players. He believes they will play an important role in his plans for the upcoming season.
Flick has also pushed for a quick renewal of Eric’s contract to secure his future and maintain stability in the squad during these challenging financial times.
