“He is absolutely in the squad. It’s gone very quickly with him. He trained a bit yesterday, he was training as much  as he was allowed at home.

“He’s a player that has a good basis. He’s definitely in tomorrow, but we haven’t decided if he’ll start or come on at some point.

“For tomorrow we have Serge, Thomas,Tiago (Dantas).”

On what Müller brings

“I’ve said it before, Thomas is an exceptional player. Not just on the pitch but off it, he’s always active. He brings a certain atmosphere into the team. He’s also very professional.

“He’s a very important player for us when he’s there, he embodies so many  things you need in a team. Not just his attitude but he has a particular ease. We’re happy he’s back.”

On beating Lazio after dropping Bundesliga points

“We just go from one game to the next.

“It was important and good that we played in the Champions League against an opponent we have huge respect for, we were very disciplined and stuck to our plan. I expect to see the same against Köln tomorrow. That the drive to win is big.

“We want to keep going, like against Lazio. That’s our job.”

“We’re two points clear, I’m not interested in anything else. We want to beat Köln and then see what it looks like. There’s a limited number of games left, we know how quickly things can change. We have to stay concentrated and confident and make sure we look at ourselves and win our games. Right now, we’re not interested in anything else.”

On the team’s drive

“I have to compliment the team. Of course we dropped points to Bielefeld and Frankfurt but the mentality of the team, the way  they keep training and motivating themselves, is exceptional. We aren’t our own enemy. The team has exactly the attitude needed to be successful at the end of the season.

“I can feel the drive within the team to be successful. After the Köln game we have two ‘normal’ weeks in a row where we can train well.”
