Stoke City will be looking to record another victory on home turf tomorrow as they prepare to play host to Barnsley at the Bet365 Stadium.

The Potters were in fine form during the weekend just gone and we’re deserved 2-1 winners over Huddersfield Town in front of their home crowd as they moved up to third in the table.

A strike from Jacob Brown and an own goal from Matty Pearson helped them to those three points and the Potters will be keen to see more of the same tomorrow evening.

Michael O’Neill will no doubt be delighted with how his side have started the campaign and will now be assessing his options ahead of Wednesday’s fixture.

Joe Bursik will once again retain his place in goal after establishing himself as the club’s number one choice between the sticks following several spells out on loan away from Stoke-on-Trent.

The back three is also likely to stay the same following the victory over Huddersfield, with Harry Souttar holding down the centre with both Ben Wilmot and Leo Ostigard to his left and right.

Josh Tymon and Tommy Smith will once again act as the advanced wing backs in O’Neill’s tried and trusted 3-5-2 formation, whilst in midfield Romaine Sawyers will once again be expected to hold whilst Sam Clucas and Mario Vrancic look to provide support for the front two.

There could well be one change for the Potters in the final third however, with Steven Fletcher pushing for a start after being benched for the win over Huddersfield, which means that he could come in for Sam Surridge in order to add some more physicality and aerial threat to the front line alongside Brown.

Given their start to the campaign, many will be expecting Stoke to see off the Tykes on Wednesday night.
