Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that several big clubs are interested in Flamengo wonderkid Reinier Jesus Carvalho, the latest big prospect to come from their famed academy.
The soon-to-be 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who currently plays with Flamengo’s U-20s, is actively being pursued by Manchester City, Real Madrid, Roma, and Juventus amongst others, and reportedly has a €70m release clause.
Without a doubt, clubs will attempt to negotiate with Flamengo to lower his price.
However, after the recent success of Vinícius Júnior, who was sold to Real Madrid this summer for around €50m and has already made five La Liga appearances, the Mengão will surely have the upper hand in negotiations.
Real Madrid also purchased soon-to-be 18-year-old Rodrygo from Brazilian side Santos over the summer for €45m. He will join Los Blancos in June on a six-year deal.
Reinier is undoubtedly one of the biggest rising talents in Brazil and is under contract with Flamengo until 2021.
Reinier has been capped with Brazil at the U-17 level, making three appearances and scoring one goal.
