On Thursday, Conmebol decided that Flamengo will not wear their traditional black and red shirt for the Copa Libertadores final.
Though the match won’t take place until November 27th, Conmebol is already making preparations and have decided that Flamengo players will enter the pitch wearing white shirts, black shorts and white socks.
Diego Alves, should he be healthy for the confrontation in Uruguay, which will take place in front of a 100% capacity crowd, will wear his traditional yellow kit.
Palmeiras, who are technically the home side for the match based on their better record in the group stage, will wear their traditional green shirt, white shorts, and green socks.
Flamengo and Palmeiras have went head-to-head on four different occasions in the 2021 calendar year, with Flamengo winning three times and drawing once.
That draw came in the Supercopa do Brasil final, where Flamengo miraculously won in a nine-round shootout despite being down 3-1 after three shooters.
