Flamengo must pay Benfica if they keep winning | OneFootball

According to the journalist Venê Casagrande, Flamengo may have to pay Benfica if they are champions of the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores.

The values ​​were reportedly agreed upon signing Éverton Cebolinha after Flamengo paid €13.5m for the player in July.

The contract reportedly states that Flamengo must pay the Portuguese club up to €1m at the end of the season, €500,000 for each title.

The payment of the amount would be made within 30 days of the end of each respective competition.

Though Flamengo are still 12 points behind Palmeiras with 11 games to play, the Brasileirão title is still in the conversation and could cause Flamengo to empty their pockets further.

Cebolinha has been a disappointing figure in terms of production since his arrival, only contributing a goal and two assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for the Rubro-Negro.
