Giorgian de Arrascaeta has added to Flamengo’s selection issues ahead of Sunday’s clash at Ceará.
According to Gazeta Esportiva, the Uruguay international is struggling with muscle fatigue and will not make the trip to Fortaleza.
Midfielder Arrascaeta joins defenders Rodrigo Caio (knee) and Mauricio Isla (thigh) on the treatment table.
Manager Renato Gaúcho will also be without suspended duo Willian Arão and Bruno Henrique.
On the positive side, centre-back Gustavo Henrique has recovered from COVID-19 and will likely resume his partnership with Léo Pereira.
New arrival Andreas Pereira, who has just signed on loan from Manchester United, has not been included in the matchday squad.
The Rubro-Negro come into the game on the back of a resouding 5-1 win over Olimpia of Paraguay in the Copa Libertadores in midweek (9-1 on aggregate).
Gaúcho’s men currently lie fifth in the Brasileirão table, 10 points behind leaders Atlético Mineiro, but with two games in hand.
