Matheus Thuler just returned to Flamengo from his brief loan spell with Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier, where he made 18 appearances, making 11 starts.

Despite his relative success in France, the 23-year-old will not stay with the Rubro-Negro. Instead, he will be heading to Japan.

Thuler continues to not be in the plans of the Flamengo board or Dorival Júnior. Thuler received a loan proposal from Vissel Kobe and will head there until December on a six-month loan.

Vissel Kobe will have the option to buy the player at the end of his loan. The terms are $1m for 50% of the player’s economic rights.

This isn’t the first time Flamengo and Vissel Kobe are doing business as Lincoln currently plays for the club, alongside legendary midfielder Andrés Iniesta.

Meanwhile, Venê Casagrande claims that Flamengo will not extend Rodinei’s deal and will let the player go after six years at the club.

Rodinei has defended Manto Sagrado 207 times and scored nine goals.
