Flamengo keen to land extremely talented attacker Thiago Almada

According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Flamengo is interested in signing young Vélez Sarsfield midfielder/winger Thiago Almada.

Currently, the player is valued at about €20m on Transfermarkt, which will make negotiating for the player very difficult.

In addition, the player is seeking a European move. However, it’s believed that Flamengo have already opened negotiations with the Argentine club, who are in the same Copa Libertadores group.

In 2018, The Guardian put Almada on their ‘Next Generation 2018’ list, detailing some of who they believe are the world’s greatest future footballing talents.

Despite being just 19 years old, he’s already featured in 69 first-team matches, contributing 17 goals and six assists.

Almada has also been linked to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United and Inter Milan.
