In search of a suitable back-up for Rafinha, Flamengo are now looking in the Superliga for their next potential reinforcement.
According to the player’s agent, Flamengo are in talks with 21-year-old Colón right-back Alex Vigo.
“It’s true that Flamengo have inquired,” the Argentinian’s representative, Leonardo Varino, told Gazeta Esportiva.
“There hasn’t been an offer made. They just asked for information about him and wanted to know how much he would cost.”
Currently behind Rafinha are João Lucas and 19-year-old Matheuzinho, who arrived from Serie B side Londrina-PR last February.
In other news, one of Flamengo’s most promising young players, 16-year-old midfielder Victor Hugo, has signed his first professional contract, a five-year deal with a €50m release clause.
