Pedro scored four goals as Flamengo progressed to the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores with a blistering performance against Tolima on Wednesday (8-1 on aggregate).

Leading 1-0 from the round of 16 first leg in Colombia last week, the Rubro-Negro went about killing off this tie straight from the off at the MaracanĆ£.
Giorgian de Arrascaeta was central to the opener, providing the perfect pass for Pedro to drill a shot low and hard to the net.
Flamengo continued to dominate proceedings, but they needed a slice of luck to double their lead. Gabriel Barbosaās shot was repelled by Tolima goalkeeper William Cuesta only for the ball to bounce off retreating defender JuliĆ”n QuiƱones and over the line before it could be cleared.
Whatever lingering hope Tolima had was killed off two minutes after the break when David Luiz met de Arrascaetaās free-kick at the back post and nodded into Pedroās path for the the striker to force home from close range.
Barbosa then made it 4-0 on the night before Tolima captain QuiƱones atoned for his earlier mishap by pulling a goal back for the visitors.
But that only spurred Flamengo on, and Pedro headed home Rodineiās cross to complete his hat-trick before substitute Matheus FranƧa got in on the scoring act only a minute after being introduced.
And Pedro notched his fourth goal 11 minutes from time to put the icing on the cake of a memorable night for Dorival JĆŗniorās charges.
