With last night’s 2-0 victory (6-0 aggregate) over Grêmio, Flamengo became the first team to reach the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil without conceding a goal in the last 32 years.

The only time a club managed to accomplish this feat was precisely in the first edition of the competition when Grêmio did it all the way back in 1989.

So far, Flamengo have defeated Cortibia by scores of 2-0 and 1-0, ABC by 6-0 and 1-0 margins before defeating Grêmio 4-0 and 2-0.

Flamengo will take on Athletico Paranaense in the semi-finals on the 20th and 27th of October, though the order of who will host each match will be determined by draw sometime later this month.

Fortaleza and Atlético Mineiro will go toe-to-toe in the other semi-final. The date of the final has yet to be determined, though the draw will take place in October.
