Flamengo have advanced to the round-of-16 of the Copa do Brasil as they defeated Altos 2-0 to win the tie 4-1 on aggregate.

With the win, Flamengo have put another R$3m in their pockets.

While the Rubro-Negro dominated the match from start to finish, the supporters were watching with nervous eyes as they went into the half at 0-0, maintaining a slim one-goal lead on aggregate.

The crowd was quite vocal booing manager Paulo Sousa, especially in the second half. 13 minutes into the second stanza, Lázaro was knocked down inside the area, allowing Gabigol to open the scoring from the spot.

Towards the end of the match, Rodinei crossed from the left and Victor Hugo headed home his first professional goal on his 18th birthday.

The match also marked the return of Rodrigo Caio, who played for the first time in five months.
