Many names have been linked with a move to Flamengo over the past month as they continue to look to beef up their defense.
According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the Rubro-Negro are currently keeping one eye on potential market opportunities involving the war between Russia and Ukraine as some players may decide to leave their clubs.
Casagrande claims that Flamengo are specifically going after Brazilian defender Pablo, who is leaving Lokomotiv Moscow, in addition to Shakhtar Donetsk right-back Dodô, who landed in Brazil earlier in the week after escaping Ukraine.
Pablo has already been approved by Paulo Sousa as they have previously worked together at Bordeaux.
Dodô would be much harder to bring in as he’s one of Europe’s most promising right-backs at the moment, with Bayern Munich and Tottenham keen.
Due to the conflict, the 23-year-old may be allowed to leave on loan. No offers have been made thus far for either player as the situation continues to develop.
