Assistant manager Jordi Guerrero has become the latest member of the Flamengo camp to test positive for COVID-19.

Guerrero, who stood in for manager Domènec Torrent for the past two games, was found to be positive when test results were returned on Saturday morning.

The 52-year-old Catalan has left the squad and will isolate at home as required.

Torrent has been in isolation himself since testing positive on 23 September.

Guerrero was in charge for the 1-1 league draw at Palmeiras last Sunday, as well as the 4-0 Copa Libertadores win over Independiente del Valle in midweek.

Flamengo are scheduled to face Athletico-PR at the Maracanã on Sunday.

If Torrent is not cleared to attend the game, it is likely that Jordi Gris will assume matchday duties.

However, that has yet to be confirmed by the Rubro-Negro.
