Rodrigo Caio is the most notable absentee from Flamengo’s squad for Sunday’s league clash with Corinthians.
The centre-back missed the 6-0 destruction of ABC in the Copa do Brasil in midweek, and will also sit out the trip to São Paulo.
Substitute goalkeeper Hugo Souza has also been omitted by manager Renato Gaúcho. The giant 22-year-old has reportedly been struck by down flu.
Left-back Renê is also unavailable after he was forced off through injury against ABC.
On a more positive note, defenders Gustavo Henrique and Filipe Luís are both back in contention for selection.
Flamengo have been in excellent form of late, picking up three straight league wins under the recently appointed Gaúcho.
Another victory over the Timão could see Fla jump into the top four of the Brasileirão table, despite having two games in hand over most of their rivals.
