Surprised by Rafinha’s departure, Flamengo acted quickly and announced the signing of Chile international Mauricio Isla on Wednesday.
After days of speculation, Flamengo revealed their new acquisition on their social networks.
At the age of 32, Isla has played for Udinese, Queens Park Rangers, Marseille, Cagliari, and Fenerbahçe.
With the Chile national team, the right-back took part in winning historic Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016.
Soon after the official announcement, Flamengo released a video with Isla already dressed in the red-black shirt.
