Flamengo announce Andreas Pereira has left the club at the end of his loan deal.

The Brazilian side were trying to keep the midfielder until Fulham made United a better offer. Although Pereira wanted to stay, it doesn’t look like he will be getting his wish this summer.

In his farewell appearance for Flamengo, Pereira scored a beautiful goal from distance to win the match. It was the perfect send off but not the ending he wanted.

Flamengo’s official Twitter account tweeted: “Clube de Regates do Flamengo announces the end of the contract between Andreas Pereira and the club. We wish Andreas best of luck in his future.”

Fulham still have some work to do to get a deal over the line for Pereira.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims Fulham are still waiting on Pereira’s decision to see whether he wants to move to Craven Cottage.

It remains to be seen whether he will get a chance to impress Erik ten Hag, but Pereira must also make the best decision for his career. He won’t gain anything from sitting on the bench at United and it’s clear he enjoys being a regular in the line-up.

I also hope it doesn’t take long to conduct a deal with Fulham because United need to start selling players this summer. Pereira is one of many squad members who are surplus to requirements.
