With the draw, Flamengo move to two points behind fourth-placed Corinthians as the Rubro-Negro continue to stay outside the automatic Copa Libertadores qualifying places.

Flamengo outshot Internacional by a 20-12 margin, with goalkeepers Santos and Keiller the obvious stars of the show, making seven and six saves, respectively.

The highlight of the match arguably came in the 41st minute, Pedro got his head on a Filipe Luís cross but Keiller made a spectacular near-post save to keep the match scoreless.

The two sides engaged in a back-and-forth battle all night but nothing could separate the teams as Internacional took a major hit to their faint title hopes.

Flamengo will now pack their bags and head to Cuiabá for Saturday’s match before going to São Paulo for the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final next Wednesday.
