A week later, on Sunday 11 August Brendan Rodgers travel to Edinburgh to take on Hibs at Easter Road in the first away match in the Scottish Premiership in season 2024-25.

Matchday 3 is also away, this time to Paisley to play St Mirren on 24 August ahead of the first Glasgow Derby of the season on 31 August at Celtic Park, although this is certainly going to change from the 3pm scheduled kick-off time, probably to 12.30pm on Saturday 1st September.

Matchday five sees Celtic take on Hearts at Celtic Park on Saturday 14 September.

Our first visit to Ibrox is in Thursday 2 January 2025, assuming that their stadium has re-opened by then. The second Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park is scheduled for Saturday 15 March, 2025 but again that is likely to be changed for television broadcast reasons, presumably to Sunday 16 March.

All fixture details are available on our sister site Celtic Shorts. Celtic start with four matches against top six sides from last season plus an away trip to Easter Road. That suits us just fine and it gives us the chance to get off to our usual flying start and establish a lead as we look for a fourth successive title and a 13th in 14 seasons. A remarkable record.
