Our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday will be dedicated to the charity with special guests in attendance at the game, plenty of branding around Elland Road, a bucket collection ahead of kick-off and the support of our first-team players who will be wearing specially designed warm-up t-shirts to help celebrate the partnership.

Acting as our official charity partner for the current campaign, the club and charity have worked together on a number of special visits and campaigns at Lineham Farm, Elland Road and Thorp Arch Training Ground, whilst also helping to raise awareness around the incredible work being done to give children opportunities they usually wouldn’t have, throughout.

Jenny Jones, Head of Fundraising at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm, said: “Witnessing the sheer joy on the children's faces during surprise visits from the players, whether on the grounds or at Lineham Farm, has been truly heart-warming. These unforgettable experiences have a profound impact, making each child feel special, boosting their confidence, and, most importantly, bringing smiles to their faces. The support from Leeds United goes a long way in brightening the lives of children across Leeds. Thank you for your dedication to spreading happiness and positivity!”

Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm is dedicated to enhancing and brightening the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in our city, offering them the chance to take a break from their difficult, and sometimes abusive, home lives. The breaks they offer at Lineham Farm are filled with adventure, fun and learning, all in a safe and happy environment.

A quarter (24%) of all children in Leeds are grappling with poverty, a challenge worsened by the ongoing impact of Covid-19 and the current cost-of-living crisis. As a result, holidays and day trips are not accessible for many young children. The work of the charity helps to provide access to nature and outdoor learning opportunities for children and by doing so, ensure that all children have the chance to enjoy the benefits of connecting with the natural world.

It costs on average £250 per child for a week’s stay at Lineham Farm. Every penny counts to help the charity keep supporting as many children as possible. Donations directly support the provisions of the charity, helping to provide experiences that every child deserves!
