Fixture Confirmed for Shels Champions League Return | OneFootball

Details for Shelbourne FC’s meeting with Linfield FC in the first round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League have been confirmed.

Both legs of the tie will take place on Wednesday nights, with the first leg scheduled for Tolka Park on Wednesday, 9 July, kicking off at 7:45pm, followed by the return leg at Windsor Park on Wednesday, 16 July, also at 7:45pm.

It marks the Reds’ first appearance in the Champions League in nearly two decades and follows the club’s dramatic return to the summit of Irish football, as Damien Duff guided the Reds to the League of Ireland Premier Division title in 2024/25 on the final day after a remarkable campaign.

The draw pits the Reds against the current NIFL Premiership champions, Linfield, in what will be the first-ever competitive UEFA fixture between the two clubs. Though they did previously meet in the Setanta Sports Cup in 2005.
