Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa has been called off but José Mourinho’s side will still play on Wednesday evening.

Instead of playing Villa, Spurs will now face Fulham.

Villa have had a coronavirus outbreak and were forced to play youth team players in their FA Cup clash with Liverpool on Friday evening. Villa’s game against Everton has now been moved from Saturday to Sunday.

Instead of having no game for Spurs, the Premier League have shifted their home fixture with Fulham to Wednesday instead.

The two London clubs were supposed to meet on 30 December before Fulham confirmed coronavirus cases of their own.

As a result of the hasty rearrangement, Fulham’s clash with Chelsea, due to take place on Friday, has been moved to Saturday.

Fulham are said to be unhappy with the rearrangements, with Scott Parker picking his team for Saturday’s FA Cup defeat of QPR based on the assumption his side would not have to play in midweek.
