Barcelona scored three unanswered goals against a hapless Levante side to put an end to their three-game winless streak. Despite Ronald Koeman and Frenkie de Jong’s absences through suspension, assistant coach Alfred Schreuder and the young stars of Barcelona carried the team to an emphatic victory.

The Catalans got off to a quickfire start today, with two goals under 15 minutes of the game kicking off, something that has never been done in the Ronald Koeman era before but hopefully will be seen more in the coming months if he is to continue.

One of the biggest and most exciting things about the match was the much-awaited return of Barcelona’s young sensation Ansu Fati, who came back to action after almost a year out on the sidelines due to a complicated meniscus injury.

He marked his return with a fabulous goal. One that also highlights how prolific the winger is already at such a young age.

It was also Ansu’s first goal since his strike in El Clasico last year, marking the dream return to football for the 18-year-old.

The Dutchmen have been heavily involved at Barcelona recently, and that was the case today as well, with Memphis Depay and Luuk de Jong both scoring the side’s two opening goals, marking such a precedent for the first time in 12 years.

It was not just offensively that the Blaugrana thrived, but they had a great day at the office defensively as well.
