Bayern Munich may face stiff competition in their bid to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Ante Rebić this summer.

According to German outlet Sport Bild, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli are all also interested in the Croatian World Cup star.

However, Bayern appear to be in pole position for the 24-year-old’s signature due to his willingness to be reunited with Niko Kovač, under whom he played at Eintracht.

Kovač is understood to be keen on bringing the winger with him to the Allianz Arena but if the Bundesliga champions want to sign him, Sport Bild claim they could be forced to fork out as much as €50m for his services.

That would mean Bayern would have to smash their current transfer record – the €41.5m they spent on Corentin Tolisso last summer – and it remains to be seen whether they are willing to do so for Rebić.

If not, it seems the former Fiorentina man won’t be short of suitors, and he could well end up playing his football in the Premier League or Serie A next season.

Last term, Rebić managed six goals in all competitions for Eintracht, including two in the DFB-Pokal victory over Bayern, and also found the net with a stunning strike in Croatia’s World Cup victory over Argentina last month.
