Jorge Mendes has reportedly received contact from five clubs interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, as the forward looks to engineer an exit from Manchester United.
Ronaldo has expressed a desire to leave the Red Devils should the club receive a suitable offer, with the 37-year-old keen to continue playing Champions League football next season.
A lack of additions in the transfer market to date has frustrated Ronaldo, who wants to compete for major trophies and in the Champions League during the final stages of his career.
AS are reporting that five clubs have contacted Ronaldo’s agent, Mendes, to enquire about a potential move.

Bayern Munich are understood to have expressed an interest, should the Bundesliga champions lose Robert Lewandowski this summer. Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern this summer and the Bavarians have held talks with Barcelona over a potential sale.
Barcelona are also monitoring Ronaldo’s situation, should the Catalans be unable to agree a deal for Lewandowski. The financial situation at the Camp Nou appears to make a deal appear unviable however, while Ronaldo’s past links to Real Madrid are another complicating factor.
Chelsea have emerged as surprise contenders and boast both the resources and Champions League football to attract Ronaldo. The west London side’s new co-owner, Todd Boehly, is understood to be enamoured with the prospect of bringing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to the club, though it remains to be seen whether Thomas Tuchel would approve a deal. United – who have insisted the forward is not for sale – would also be reluctant to lose Ronaldo to direct rival.
Elsewhere both Napoli and Roma are among the clubs who have reportedly approached Mendes. The former finished third in Serie A last season and will compete in the Champions League next season, but have gone 32 years without a league title in Italy.
Roma are under the management of Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid boss and compatriot Jose Mourinho, but lack the Champions League football the forward desires.
