Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to make five changes to his starting eleven against Lazio, with Denzel Dumfries to start.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
This past week, Inter coach Inzaghi kept his policy of rotating between Serie A and the Champions League going.
Players like Mehdi Taremi, Piotr Zielinski, and Davide Frattesi got the chance in midweek. Inter faced Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
But it was a disappointing evening in Germany for the Nerazzurri.
Having nearly held out for a valuable point away, Inter conceded their first goal in Europe this season in stoppage time, losing 1-0.
Inter must bounce back right away in the league, however.
The Nerazzurri find themselves locked in a fierce title race with four or five different teams this season.
And one of those teams is certainly Lazio. The Biancocelesti have been in blazing form under coach Marco Baroni.
For Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, there is no doubt that he’ll play as strong a team as he can.
That means the return of a number of regular starters to the eleven.
And on the right flank, Denzel Dumfries will get the nod. The Dutchman had been absent from the squad for the match against Leverkusen due to illness.
However, Dumfries will replace Matteo Darmian in the lineup on Monday.
The Corriere’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven to face the Biancocelesti is as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.
