There are five Bologna players in doubt to be fit for next weekend’s Serie A match against Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Bologna-based newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, via FCInterNews. They report that all of Nicolo Casale, Jhon Lucumi, Thijs Dallinga, Santiago Castro, and Jens Odgard are doubts.

Bologna host Inter Milan in Serie A next Sunday.

And it promises to be a marque clash in both the title race and the fight for Champions League football.

Inter will go into the match with at least a three-point advantage over Napoli at the top of the league table.

Meanwhile, Bologna have fallen behind Juventus in fourth spot in the table.

However, both teams will certainly feel that a result next weekend will be crucial for their fortunes.

Inter are not only the team at the top of the pile at this stage. They are the outstanding side in Serie A over the last couple seasons, having won last season’s title in dominant fashion.

However, Bologna have arguably outshone the Nerazzurri in 2025. They have been the form side in the Italian top flight, including a highly impressive 1-1 draw against Napoli last Monday.

In the most recent meeting, Inter and Bologna drew 2-2 at the San Siro.

According to Il Resto del Carlino, there are five Bologna players in doubt to be available next Sunday.

Firstly, there is defender Jhon Lucumi.

The Colombian had to come off during the second half of Bologna’s match against Atalanta yesterday.

The player who replaced Lucumi was Nicolo Casale. However, the former Lazio and Hellas Verona himself had to come off as a substitute.

This was due to a shoulder injury. Casale will undergo medical tests today.

Then, attacking midfielder Jens Odgaard is a doubt due to muscular fatigue.

An in attack, meanwhile, there are two major doubts. Striker Thijs Dallinga is dealing a groin problem called pubalgia. And then, Santiago Castro has had a nagging foot problem since the international break.
